She has authored or co-authored three monographs. The first book, Les échos du Monde. Pratiques du discours rapporté dans un journal de la presse écrite (2009, UWr), deals with the citations in the French large-circulation Le Monde, a renowned European journal; the second monograph, Przytoczenia w prasie codziennej [–Citations in Daily Press] (2014, Lexem), elaborates on the same subject matter in the Polish large-circulation press; while the third, Discours rapporté et presse écrite d’information Une étude linguistique et discursive du discours rapporté français par comparaison avec le polonais (2019, L’Harmattan) co-authored with Greta Komur-Thilloy and foreworded by Patricia von Münchow, compares the forms and functions of quotations in Polish and French press news. The forms and functions of quotations are discussed here in the context of French discourse analysis. Next to quoted speech, in several dozen articles Elżbieta Biardzka deals with comparative issues (especially prepositional syntagms, grammatical tenses, linguistic images of the world) and the construction of social meanings in the French mainstream press. Yet another area of her interest is digital discourse, including citations on the web, especially in native digital texts such as internet memes. "
