Wojciech Browarny

"Wojciech Browarny (born 1970), historian of Polish literature, regionalist,
literary critic, associate professor in the Institute of Polish Philology, Uni-
versity of Wrocław, where he runs the Department of History of Polish Lit-
erature after 1918 and the Laboratory of Regional Studies. Member of the
Committee on Literary Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
His academic interests include contemporary Polish prose, literary culture
in Lower Silesia after 1945, anthropological problems of modernity, and re-
lations of culture and history with nature. He wrote, among others: Tadeusz
Różewicz and Modern Identity in Poland since the Second World War (translated
by Piotr Zazula, original title: Tadeusz Różewicz i nowoczesna tożsamość; 2019,
Project Science); Historie odzyskane. Literackie dziedzictwo Wrocławia i Dolnego
Śląska [–Histories Recovered. The Literary Heritage of Wrocław and Lower
